About Anthony
Since starting lessons at 8 years old with the Crow Creek Pipes and Drums in Anchorage Alaska, Anthony has been passionate about bagpipes. With over 20 years of experience, Anthony has played in bands and has competed as a solo competitor. He has gone on to win several competition wins at the Grade 1 amateur level, including 1st place overall at the Nicol-Brown invitational contest in 2009.

Anthony has received instruction from many of the greatest names in piping including: Michael Cusack Jr., Jack Lee, Alan Walters, Murray Henderson, Alasdair Gillies, Roddy McLeod, Bruce Gandy, and Stuart Liddell. Anthony attended and played pipes with the 5x juvenile world champion St. Thomas Episcopal School in Houston, TX from 2007-2011. After obtaining a BA in Biology from University of Dallas, Anthony began a career as a school teacher from 2015-2019, and in 2017 earned his Master’s in Education from the University of St. Thomas. His experience as an educator informs his instructional style.
